In the year 1154 a town called Qlwn appeared on the map of the world. Less than one hundred years later the town was known as Reval and it became the first capital city in Northern Europe.
In these times guilds were born - fellowships of artisans specialised to the practice of specific crafts. The true value lay in the product, it had to be the finest in town. The secrets of inherited technologies, the "arts" and "mysteries" of the crafts, were resolutely guarded by its masters.
Merchandising flourished.
The city of Reval grew grand and its people were fortunate. It truly was like a medieval Neverland where everything seemed possible.
Except for just one thing - in these days there was no denim yet.
