1998
The Golden Egg is rolling! The first competition has five categories: outdoor, radio, TV, print, and social advertising.
1999
We witness the birth of a legend! Saku's “Mõnusaid jõule” ("Merry Christmas") TV commercial shines! By the way, it has been on the air for over 20 years now.
2000
We learn that literary figures who can fly prefer to travel by plane. The Golden Egg for the outdoor advertisement “Mugavam. Superman. Karlsson” (“More Comfortable. Superman. Karlsson”) lands in the hands of Estonian Air.
2001
Sometimes an egg is perfect for porridge. Estonian Television served up some excellent TV commercials introducing different TV programs. The picture shows an advert for "Puder” (“Porridge"). Prize: The Golden Egg of course.
2002
Are you waiting for a bus or sitting in the car? The outdoor advertising Golden Egg was driven home by Citroën. Indigo Bates was the driving force behind the clever solution.
2003
Ask, ask, ask everything! In the 2003 competition, the ad for Infotelefon encouraged people to ask even more questions. By Kontuur LB.
2004
This time the eggs were fried golden in motor oil. Statoil's oils enjoyed fame in Scandinavia, but not in Estonia. That's why Norwegian actors were invited to appear in a TV commercial. The work was brought to the table by Kontuur LB.
2005
What could be better direct mail for the Estonian Pandipakend than a message in the bottle? They won the Golden Egg for the posted advertisement. Author: Division McCann.
2007
More eggs hatched! In addition to the Golden Egg, the Square Egg was also awarded, with categories including graphic design, corporate identity, illustrations, packaging, web, and multimedia. The Silver Egg was won by the Honda calendar / Christmas card, submitted by Kontuur LB.
2008
Eggs are spiritually connected to the chickens. The Golden Egg was won by a Tallegg chicken mince advertisement by Vanzetti, in which the man, who was seeing a psychologist, remembers only one thing in any stage of his life - chicken.
2009
A Golden Egg is better than fat and bacon. Young talents first entered the competition in 2007. Two years later, the “Pesamuna” (“Nest Egg”) prize was won by Maksim Loginov and Ekaterina Boitsova for their work “Tead, mida sööd?” ("Do you know what you eat?".)
2010
The summer flip flops were in trouble! The autumn shoe mafia sent them a clear message: it's time to give power back to the boots! Adell Taevas created the campaign for Kristiine Keskus.
2011
A. Le Coq's “Jalgpall vs. Seks” ("Football vs Sex") ad reached the final of the creative competition, but at the decisive moment, the ball narrowly missed the goal and the Golden Egg slipped out of reach. Despite this, people remembered the ad. By Adell Taevas.
2012
Where did you do your Master’s degree? Of course at the University of Tasku (wordplay on Tartu – a university town where Tasku shopping center is located). Tasku brightly entwined the image of the university town and of itself. The result was a silver egg in outdoor advertising. The work was entered into the competition by Tabasco.
2013
Special works get special eggs. The Enterprise Development foundation Brand Estonia campaign won the storytelling egg thanks to DER Tank.
2014
Does this ad get under your skin? Sporting goods store Rademar won a silver egg for this flashy and fleshy print ad. The ad was brought to life by Tabasco.
2015
There have been many campaigns against drunk driving, one of which won the Grand Prix in 2015. The Road Administration's campaign "Sõber ei lase purjus sõpra rooli" ("A friend won't let a drunk friend behind the wheel") was voted the best. The campaign was launched by Age McCann.
2016
The theme of the Golden Egg was: “Kas said pihta?” ("Did you get it?"). A total of 527 entries were shortlisted for the Golden Egg, and 25 Golden, 25 Silver, and 25 Bronze Eggs were handed out at the awards ceremony.
2017
Snowmen swapped carrots for a Golden Egg! The competition started to receive more entries from smaller organizations. The municipality of Väätsa invited local people to create snowmen. A total of 600 snowmen were made, and the spectacle won the public event Golden Egg.
2018
The Golden Egg saw the emergence of new categories for specific skills, designed to recognize talented practitioners and true professionals in their field. Tommy Cash's brilliant music video, for example, received a Special Effects Egg. The producer was Denis Strahhov.
2019
In the spotlight were young creators. In their spirit, a Golden Egg conference was held for the first time before the event, and a panel of student judges handed out prizes - surprise eggs - to their favorites.
2020
A virus took over the world. That's why, for the first time, the Golden Egg Gala was held virtually. It worked out perfectly because marketers have adaptation in their blood.
2021
A record number of entries, 983, were submitted for the Golden Egg. The milestone was celebrated with the first outdoor gala in the middle of the summer.
2022
The Golden Egg has always revolved around a theme, but for the first time, the theme was chosen in a creative competition. There were a lot of interesting approaches in the air, but the winner was Tank's "Loov is in the air” (“Creative is in the air”).
