Description
Pärnu ended a long wait with the opening of a new bridge across the Pärnu River, reconnecting the riverbanks. The opening became a citywide celebration with speeches, the passing of the Song Festival flame, boat and jet-ski shows, music from classical to house, and the Summer Capital title ceremony. The bridge was opened with a poem, music by boat, and a surprise star—Hugo the Cat.
