We used an outdoor media campaign to raise awareness about the hidden dangers of cosmetic injections – unlicensed and unqualified providers offer procedures that can lead to serious health risks. The outdoor teaser ads sparked a public outcry – leading people to unbelievably cheap offers, until four days later, we replaced the ads with shocking truth. The updated website exposed the risks of low-cost injections and highlighted the dangers of illegal services. Shocking truth can change behavior – cheap injection offers declined, and beauty procedures remained where they belong – in the hands of professionals. The Estonian Health Board’s provocative approach reached around 250,000 people, making beauty safer. https://youtu.be/kJjefpyXtUQ
