The book is illustrated fully by hand. The font size of the texts is meant to emphasise the nature of the font and be easily legible for children just starting to read. The uncoated paper was chosen to maximise the effect of the original, ripped paper works, brought out even more by the shadows created by scanning. The yellow paper endsheets were inspired by the illustration technique.
