A survey showed that only 49% of the passengers always fasten their seatbelt in buses. However, 91% of of the passengers always fasten their seatbelts in cars. This is a worrying statistic because wearing a seatbelt is equally important for both. Our goal was to improve the percentage of people who fasten their seatbelts in buses. We filmed reactions of real people who tried a seatbelt crash simulator at a speed of 7 km/h and created Social media campaign on 5 destination markets. The campaign in Estonia had a social media reach of 450K. Video was viewed over 100K times. Moreover, the campaign got a lot of free media coverage – estimated over 5.2M reach in total across 100 articles. After campaign new survey showed that there was a 10% increase of people who fasten seatbelts in buses.
